Evacuation Order #1 has been issued for the Old Fort landslide area due to immediate danger to life safety caused by active and increasing ground movement.

Evacuation Access Information: A controlled evacuation window is planned for tonight from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM, if conditions are safe. This evacuation will only proceed if emergency crews and Search and Rescue are able to safely support access.
A state of local emergency has been declared for Electoral Area C in the Peace River Regional District as a result of the imminent threat to people due to the Old Fort landslide. The state of local emergency will remain in effect for 14 days or until cancelled by the Peace River Regional District.
