You MUST show up on Wednesday to renew so you can continue accessing ESS funding and services. You cannot renew before or after this date.

BC Services Card App

ESS is made easier with the BC Services Card app on your smartphone. If you need to validate your BC Services Card app, please visit Service BC in Fort St. John during regular business hours.

If you have not already completed the validation process on the BC Service card app and want to access e-transfer, please visit the Service BC building (the courthouse building), hours 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. before visiting the reception centre.

General Update

The evacuation orders and alerts around the slide area remain in place.

No access to:

  • Old Fort Road (closed at the evacuation order boundary)
  • Community of Old Fort
  • Old Fort Lookout

Stay away from and off the landslide. Ground movement continues, and the displaced road section has moved over 100m down the slope. Nobody should ever be near an active landslide; they are dangerous and constantly changing.

More Information

The PRRD Emergency Operations remains active to support the community. The Ministry of Transportation and Transit is the lead agency in responding to this slide and the road closure.
