Notice of Procedure Bylaw Amendment

This is a public notice required by the Local Government Act. 

The Regional Board will consider amending Board Procedure Bylaw No. 2490, 2022, at the Regular Board Meeting on July 23, 2026. 

Proposed Change 

The amendment proposes restricting virtual attendance at Board meetings to illness or unsafe travel due to weather, replacing the broader use of electronic participation that has been allowed since COVID‑19 and returning to pre‑pandemic norms. 

The amendment also proposes adding an updated elected officials’ oath of office to the Procedure Bylaw. The oath of office previously was approved by separate bylaw. 

Availability of Documents 

The proposed Board Procedure Amendment Bylaw No. 2607, 2026, and the staff report will be available on the Peace River Regional District website (prrd.bc.ca) after 4:30 pm on July 17, 2026.
