On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Peace River Regional District will ask qualified voters to vote on six proposed new services. The assent voting opportunities will ask the following questions of voters in the respective service areas:

Area C Water Service - Electoral Area C

Are you in favour of the Peace River Regional District adopting ‘Electoral Area C Water Service Establishment Bylaw No. 2602, 2026’ that will allow the Regional District to secure access to water and potable water for Area C residents through identification and investigation of water sources, construction of infrastructure to supply, treat, convey, store and distribute water or potable water, or through entering into partnering or contribution agreements for water or potable water supply, at a maximum annual tax requisition limit that is the greater of $500,000 or $0.26665 per $1,000 on the net taxable value of land and improvements, imposed on improvements only, in all of Area C?

Area D Water Service - Electoral Area D

Are you in favour of the Peace River Regional District adopting ‘Electoral Area D Water Service Establishment Bylaw No. 2603, 2026’ that will allow the Regional District to secure access to water and potable water for Area D residents through identification and investigation of water sources, construction of infrastructure to supply, treat, convey, store and distribute water or potable water, or through entering into partnering or contribution agreements for water or potable water supply, at a maximum annual tax requisition limit that is the greater of $1,000,000 or $0.3348 per $1000 on the net taxable value of land and improvements, imposed on improvements only, in all of Area D?

Area E Water Service - Electoral Area E

Are you in favour of the Peace River Regional District adopting ‘Electoral Area E Water Service Establishment Bylaw No. 2604, 2026’ that will allow the Regional District to secure access to water and potable water for Area E residents through identification and investigation of water sources, construction of infrastructure to supply, treat, convey, store and distribute water or potable water, or through entering into partnering or contribution agreements for water or potable water supply, at a maximum annual tax requisition limit that is the greater of $500,000 or $0.2104 per $1,000 on the net taxable value of land and improvements, imposed on improvements only, in all of Area E?

Golata Creek Community Space Service - Defined Portion of Electoral Area B Only

Are you in favour of the Peace River Regional District adopting ‘Golata Creek Community Space Service Establishment Bylaw No. 2608, 2026’ that will allow the Regional District to acquire, plan, develop, construct, operate, maintain, repair, replace, improve, administer, and fund community space facilities, community halls, outdoor gathering spaces, recreation amenities, and related improvements and infrastructure within the service area in and around the community of Golata Creek at a maximum annual tax requisition limit that is the greater of $125,000 or $1.1263 per $1,000 on the net taxable value of land and improvements and imposed on improvements only, AND adopting Golata Creek Community Space Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 2611, 2026 that authorizes the Regional District to borrow up to $500,000 for the construction and equipping of the Golata Community Space, to be repaid over a term of twenty (20) years?

Osborn Community Space Service - Defined Portion of Electoral Area B Only

Are you in favour of the Peace River Regional District adopting ‘Osborn Community Space Service Establishment Bylaw No. 2610, 2026’ that will allow the Regional District to acquire, plan, develop, construct, operate, maintain, repair, replace, improve, administer, and fund community space facilities, community halls, outdoor gathering spaces, recreation amenities, and related improvements and infrastructure within the service area in and around the community of Osborn at a maximum annual tax requisition limit that is the greater of $60,000 or $1.3834 per $1,000 on the net taxable value of land and improvements and imposed on improvements only?

Jackfish Lake Community Space Service - Defined Portion of Electoral Area E Only

Are you in favour of the Peace River Regional District adopting ‘Jackfish Lake Community Space Service Establishment Bylaw No. 2609’ that will allow the Regional District to renovate, repair, operate, maintain, replace, improve, administer, and fund of the Jackfish Community Hall and related land, facilities, improvements, and infrastructure within the service area in and around Jackfish Lake at a maximum annual tax requisition limit that is the greater of $125,000 or $0.6487 per $1,000 on the net taxable value of land and improvements and imposed on improvements only?

Scrutineer Applications

Application forms are available via email from elections@prrd.bc.ca or can be obtained at 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek, or 9505-100 Street, Fort St. John, or prrd.bc.ca/candidates.

Applications to act as a scrutineer can be submitted to the Chief Elections Officer via email to elections@prrd.bc.ca, or submitted at the Peace River Regional District office located at 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC during the period of 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026 to 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2026.
