The latest collection of grant opportunities open to various non-profit and community groups in the region, presented as part of the Grant Writer Services Program at the Peace River Regional District.

Free Grant Writing Information Sessions & Workshops

Join us in June to learn about grant writing and how to write a successful grant proposal. These free webinars are available to non-profit community groups located in the Peace River Regional District.

Information Sessions: June 9, 9 - 10:30 am or June 10, 6:30 - 8 pm

In this 1.5 hour information session, you will learn:

  • how grants work
  • how to search for grants
  • how to ensure your project is grant - ready
  • how to access the PRRD's Grant Writing Services Program

Workshop: June 11, 9 - 12 pm

 IMPORTANT: To attend the workshop, you must have some grant writing experience or have attended a prior grant writing information session with the PRRD.

In this 3 - hour workshop, you will learn how to write a successful grant proposal, including:

  • a high-level overview of how grants work
  • understanding proposal guidelines
  • demonstrating your need for funding 
  • knowing which documents to submit with your proposal
  • building a budget

BC Arts Council - Arts Impact Grant: Transformation and Sustainability

Deadline: June 3

Eligible Amount: Up to $30,000

This program supports projects that focus on capacity, governance, and other organizational activities leading to transformation, sustainability, and collaboration.

 

Project Change Foundation - Grant Program

Deadline: June 30

Eligible Amount: $3,000

This program supports emerging Canadian charities with a bold vision for social or environmental change.

Province of BC - Community Gaming Grants (Parent Advisory Council (PAC) & District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) Grants)

Deadline: June 30

Eligible Amount: Up to $250,000

This program supports initiatives that benefit Kindergarten to Year 12 students in BC by enhancing extracurricular opportunities and promoting parent and community involvement.

 

Northern Development Initiative Trust - Recreation Infrastructure

Deadline: July 31

Eligible Amount: Up to $300,000

This program supports organizational capacity building, collaboration, sustainability, transformation and impact for arts and culture organizations.                                                                                                                                   

Northern Development Initiative Trust - Cultural Infrastructure

Deadline: July 31

Eligible Amount: Up to $300,000

This program supports creating or improving arts, heritage, culture, and creative innovation spaces, and projects that improve access to and the quality if professional arts and cultural facilities for residents and tourists.

 

Northern Development Initiative Trust - Economic Infrastructure

Deadline: July 31

Eligible Amount: Up to $300,000

This program supports projects that contribute to economic growth and stronger communities. Projects include renovations or new construction of public multi-use facilities or capital investments that drive revenues and job creation within a community.

 

Northern Development Initiative Trust - Community Places

Deadline: July 31

Eligible Amount: Up to $30,000

This program supports creating, restoring, and enhancing community spaces to enhance the overall quality of life for communities.

 

South Peace Mackenzie Trust - Economic Diversification and Stabilization Fund

Deadline: Ongoing

Eligible Amount: Up to $250,000

This program encourages and supports economic development, diversification, and stabilization in the South Peace by creating new income-earning positions.
