This program supports community-led health and wellness initiatives that improve the well-being of Northern BC residents, with a focus on mental wellness, community diversity, harm reduction, climate health action, food security, active living, and community safety projects.
Vancouver Foundation - Transforming Systems Grants

Eligible Amount: Up to $100,000
This program supports organizations addressing the root causes of inequality and allow those most affected by unfair systems to shape their own futures.
OpenRoad Foundation - Community Grant Program

Eligible Amount: $10,000 -$30,000
This program supports projects that align with one or more of the foundation's focus areas:
- community well-being
- youth and education
- environment and sustainability
TD - Friends of the Environment Foundation Grant
Deadline: July 15
Eligible Amount: $2,000 - $8,000
This program funds environmental projects including:
- community gardens
- environmental education projects
- outdoor classrooms and nature play
- tree planting and urban regreening projects
UFA Agricultural Community Foundation - Rural Communities Grant
Deadline: July 31
Eligible Amount: $10,000 - $100,000
This program supports recreation, education, and cultural projects. Projects must take place within 200 km of a UFA location.
Northern Development Initiative Trust - Recreation Infrastructure
Deadline: July 31
Eligible Amount: Up to $300,000
This program focuses on construction, rehabilitation, or material enhancement of recreational infrastructure that leads to new jobs and revenues and encourages resident attraction and retention. Eligible projects include gymnasiums, pools, sports fields, trail networks, and campgrounds.
Northern Development Initiative Trust - Cultural Infrastructure

Eligible Amount: Up to $300,000
This program supports creating or improving arts, heritage, culture, and creative innovation spaces, and projects that improve access to and the quality of professional arts and cultural facilities for residents and tourists.
Northern Development Initiative Trust - Economic Infrastructure

Eligible Amount: Up to $300,000
This program supports projects that contribute to economic growth and stronger communities. Projects include renovations or new construction of public multi-use facilities or capital investments that drive revenues and job creation within a community.
Northern Development Initiative Trust - Community Places

Eligible Amount: Up to $30,000
This program supports creating, restoring, and enhancing community spaces to enhance the overall quality of life for communities.
South Peace Mackenzie Trust - Economic Diversification and Stabilization Fund
Deadline: Ongoing
Eligible Amount: Up to $250,000
This program encourages and supports economic development, diversification, and stabilization in the South Peace by creating new income-earning positions.
