What is NEBC Alerts?
North East BC (NEBC) Alerts is a digital notification system that alerts users of emergencies and public events happening in the Peace River Regional District.
It is separate from federal and provincial alerting systems and is used by the Peace River Regional District and other municipal partners throughout the region.
Why is NEBC Alerts important?
If you are subscribed and your address is within an alert area, you will receive notifications on evacuation orders and alerts by text, email or automated call - depending on your selected notification settings.
Users can also opt-in for non-emergency notifications such as waste and water station closures, and public meetings and events.
How do I sign up for NEBC Alerts?
Sign up online or through the Everbridge app. You can unsubscribe from NEBC Alerts any time through your
settings.
The registration process does have a few steps, like whether you have livestock; these are important questions so that we can best help you. Your patience here will pay off in an emergency!
Online
Go to nebcalerts.com and select “Click Here to Sign Up". Fill out the required information fields. If you want to be notified of non-emergency alerts like public meetings, you can opt-in to those on the next screen.
Everbridge App
Search for 'Everbridge' in the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.
Once downloaded and open, tap “Find an organization or subscription” and type “PRRD” into the search field. Select “PRRD Alerts” and create an account.
