Welcome to the Peace River Regional District (PRRD), a vibrant and diverse community nestled in the stunning landscapes of northeastern British Columbia, Canada. Established in 1987, the PRRD is the largest regional district in the province, spanning an impressive 119,000 square kilometers of breathtaking wilderness and thriving communities.

Collaborative Governance
The PRRD acts as the local government for its unincorporated electoral areas, providing a framework for collaboration between member municipalities and electoral areas. Governed by a dedicated board of directors, including representatives from each of the seven municipalities and four electoral areas, the board meets twice a month in Dawson Creek to ensure that the needs of the community are met.

First Nations Communities
The PRRD is situated on the traditional territory of the Dane-zaa (Beaver), signatories of Treaty 8 and the Metis Nation BC Region 7. We value the significant contributions of Indigenous Peoples who have lived and worked on the land for time immemorial, and we are proud to work alongside the following First Nations communities, including part of the traditional lands of the McLeod Indian Band:

- Kwadacha Nation
- Saulteau First Nations
- Tsay Keh Dene Band
- West Moberly First Nations
