Participate in Meetings
If you or your organization would like to share your ideas or concerns with the Peace River Regional District Board or a committee, we invite you to join one of our public meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and you can even present remotely via teleconference. If you have a question or would like to submit gallery comments, feel free to reach out and email us. Your voice matters, and we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
How to Make Your Request
You must make your request at least seven business days before the meeting date. Please send us your completed Appear Before the Board Form by:
- Emailing the PRRD
- Mail to Peace River Regional District, PO Box 810, Dawson Creek, BC V1G 4H8
- Dropping it off at 1981 Alaska Ave., Dawson Creek or 9505 100 St., Fort St. John
We will contact you to confirm a date and time to appear. Please note that we collect personal information is under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Local Government Act. The information you provide will become a matter of public record and will be published in meeting agendas and posted online.
Before You Start
Make sure that you review and follow our guidelines for persons or parties wishing to address the Regional District Board or a Committee as a scheduled delegation. You will have a maximum of twenty minutes for your presentation, including a question and answer period.
The Board will not authorize your request if:
- The subject has a commercial or for-profit nature, where your propose is to promote or advance a business interest
- The subject is about a land-use proposal or land use decision
The deadline to send in your presentation materials is seven business days before the meeting date to allow the Board or Committee time to review your information. If you are unable to meet the deadline, contact the PRRD to discuss options.
