Directors
The Board of Directors for the Peace River Regional District are twelve dedicated individuals who represent a combination of electoral areas and municipalities across the region. Our directors guide regional decision-making, addressing community needs and ensuring effective governance. The Board is led by a Chair and Vice-Chair who are elected to serve a one-year term. They work collaboratively to foster regional growth, advocate for local interests and enhance the quality of life for all residents within the PRRD.
Electoral Area Directors
Four Electoral Area Directors are elected by residents to serve a four-year term. They play a crucial role in advocating for the needs and priorities of the rural electoral areas they serve, as well as the entire region. By working closely with their communities, they ensure that the voices of residents are heard in regional decision-making processes.
Municipal Directors
There are eight municipal directors who are appointed by the councils of our seven member municipalities. They bring valuable perspectives and insights to collective regional decision making. By collaborating with their residents, they ensure that the interests and priorities of their municipalities are represented in regional planning and governance.
