Community Works Fund Grant

The Peace River Regional District has federal funding available to help eligible organizations with investments in local government infrastructure and capacity building projects. The projects must directly serve or benefit rural communities within the Peace River Regional District. 

Applicants must:
  • Be a not-for-profit organization registered and in good standing with the Societies Act of BC, a local government, a First Nations government, band or council, or a school district or rural school Parent Advisory Council (PAC) recognized under the School Act.
  • Organizations operating within a municipality must demonstrate that their project provides benefit to the rural population.
Project criteria:
  • Project must be considered a regional or municipal priority within a long-term capital investment plan.
  • Project is supported by asset management planning.
  • Project meets minimum outcomes reporting threshold of $25,000.

Supporting Forms

You will need to fill out the Annual Progress Report Form to let us know how your organization used the Community Works Fund Grant and the progress made on your project. This includes activities completed or started as well as your project's progress. To get reimbursed for grant contributions, please complete the Grant Claim Form. After your project is complete, submit the Final Report Form within thirty (30) days to outline outcomes and deliverables, including picture(s) or video(s) if available.
