Water Stations

The Peace River Regional District manages five bulk water stations, also known as truck or bottle fill stations, which provide potable water to our residents across Electoral Area B.

If you are a resident, you can take advantage of a tank loader at each station as well as a small bottle fill that is available 24/7.

Accessing Water Stations

You must first register for a PRRD water account and add monetary credits before you can fill your tank and bottle at a water station. Once you have registered, you can easily buy water credits online anytime, using any device. With your access code and PIN, you will be able to use the potable water stations whenever you need them.

You can also register by:

  • Visiting us in person at one of the Peace River Regional District offices located in Fort St. John or Dawson Creek
  • Calling us by phone at 250-784-3200 during our regular office hours

Adding Credits to Your Account

You have a couple of options to add water credits to your account:

Using a Water Station

To get water from a station, you need to:

  • Park your vehicle while aligning your tank opening underneath the discharge hose
  • Safely take the hose and insert the fitting inside your tank
  • Go on the keypad and enter your account information
  • Enter the desired volume of water in cubic meters (1 cubic meter = 1000 Litres = 264 US Gallons) and press enter
  • Secure the hose inside your tank and press start to begin filling
  • Close the keypad station cover when finished
  • Make sure the hose is removed from your tank
  • Close the cap on your tank to avoid spills during transportation

Before You Start

Before using a water station, please keep the following tips in mind to ensure an easy experience. The station will automatically stop once it has given you the volume that you entered. In case of overfilling or problems, press stop at any time to stop the flow. If you are having any problems, you can contact the PRRD Office nearest you for help:
