Water and Sewer Services

Explore the water and sewer services offered in the Peace River Regional District. From providing safe drinking water to managing wastewater efficiently, these essential services play a crucial role in our rural communities.

Water Stations

We manage five bulk water stations, also known as truck fill or bottle fill stations, which provide potable water to residents across Electoral Area B. To use the water stations, you must register for a PRRD water account and add monetary credits to your account prior to use.

Water Quality

The PRRD must meet Northern Health Standards to ensure our water stations provide safe, drinkable water for households. We do this by filtering the water to remove physical impurities and disinfecting it to kill harmful pathogens. These steps help maintain high water quality and protect community health. We also manage water distribution to the airport subdivision.

Water Treatment Stations

Our water treatment stations play a crucial role in ensuring residents have access to reliable and safe water. Each facility has unique operational requirements based on their water sources and regulatory permits. They vary in storage capacity, chlorine residual levels and treatment processes to ensure water quality meets health standards and is compliant with Northern Health regulations.
