Development Variance Permit

A Development Variance is a permit that the Peace River Regional District may issues that allows you, as a property owner, to deviate from some bylaw regulations. This can include building setbacks or maximum building size, but it cannot vary the use nor density of land specified in the bylaw or a flood plain specification.

How to Apply

Before beginning a development, please contact a planner to make sure your proposal follows regulations or needs an application. Make sure to refer to the Lakeshore Guidelines when considering a development close to a lake.
